They actually grow the plants right at the nursery in Loomis, and sell over 250 varieties of floating plants for ponds. You can find pond plants for sale such as lotus flowers, water lilies, and a wide selection of bog-loving perennials, marginals and ornamental grasses.
Owner Sue Golden has a degree in Landscape Design from Cal Poly, San Louis Obispo, and her goal is to make sure each customer gets personal attention and help selecting the perfect water plants for his or her pond. She is also available for on-site consultations, if your questions require more in-depth help than she can provide when you visit the nursery.
Sue started Golden Pond Water Plants aquatic nursery in 1993 in Loomis in recognition of the growing interest in water gardens and backyard ponds. She recognized the need for local gardeners to have a place to get help with their water gardens and purchase freshwater aquatic plants and water flowers near Sacramento that are suitable for growing in the Sacramento and Northern California region.
